The man behind the name
A Texan
in London.
“Howdy. I’m the one that they have come to call Texas Joe.”
Joe wanted to bring an authentic Texas barbecue experience to London. The food is Hill Country; the world around it is his own version of home.

Texas, through Joe’s eyes
A little out
of time.
Roy Rogers. Gene Autry. The heroes of another era. Joe describes his version of Texas as a bit of a fantasy—a place you step into, as much as a place on a map.
On Snowsfields, that means oak smoke, old music and walls full of Texas history.
01 / Texas beginnings
It started
with jerky.
Before the restaurant, Texas Joe’s began with beef jerky: an authentic Texas flavour in London, dressed in original Hatch Show Print artwork.
A small film archive from that first chapter: Put That Jerky In Your Mouth with Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and Big Joe Louis, a Dragons’ Den appearance, and the original jerky launch viewing party.

Sounds
like home.
Country, blues, rock ’n’ roll and rockabilly: the music Joe grew up with. The playlist has grown with the restaurant, with room for funk, jazz and good new music, too.
